My Six Week Cure: Week 3 Results
Today, I have completed the THIRD WEEK of the program, outlined in:
The 6-Week Cure for the Middle-Aged Middle: The Simple Plan to Flatten Your Belly Fast! by Dr. Michael Eades and Dr. Mary Dan Eades
Week 3 of the plan brought little change, other than continued progress of my blood sugar toward normal.
In Three Weeks:
I have lost a total of 7 pounds and 1.75 inches from my belly!
My Fasting Blood Glucose has dropped by a whopping 134 mg/dL!
- normal range: 80-100
was: 246 mg/dL
is: 112 mg/dL
I’m almost there!!
I’m Still Not Too SAD
I have decided to quit taking the Sagittal Abdominal Diameter (SAD) measurements. I think that some of my visceral fat is going away… But since I cannot measure it with better precision, I cannot be absolutely sure. Mostly I don’t care that much, as long as I am getting healthier. And right now, my blood sugar becoming almost normal is the most critical indicator of improved health.
Second Verse: Same as the First
After the first four weeks of the 6-Week Cure, the Eades recommend that people who have more belly fat than can be lost in 4-6 weeks can repeat and alternate the 3+1 shake plan with the near-meat-only plan. Since I have more than 100 pounds to lose, I will definitely be repeating from weeks 1-4 for a while instead of proceeding to the maintenance plan.
I am leaving for the UK next Friday, so right now I will continue with week 4, and report the results next Friday before I leave. And that will be the end of my first round with the FIRST FOUR WEEKS of The Six Week Cure!
Here are my measurements for this week

I admit that I would be extremely pleased if I ever find a so-called MAGIC BULLET that makes weight loss and optimal health EASY. But that’s really not what I am looking for. When I consider my options, I am OK with DIFFICULTY. It is OK with me that it takes a lot of time and effort to improve my health. I am willing to do the work.

ramona! very nice graph and documentation. you are really making me interested in this plan. im on the verge of diabetes, so my needs may be very similar to yours and other diabetics.
im interested to see your shrinkage to weight loss ratios. many loss lots of inches, but not much weight, as they grow dense muscles and bones from the rich, meat and fat diet.
they say the body will work in priorities, and after a continued leveling of b.s., you may possibly get a “whoosh” effect kick in!
really happy to see you getting better and smaller, have a great time in europe!
Thanks, Rachel. I’ll have one week of business then a week of vacation, so I’m pretty excited.
If the diet keeps working as is has, my blood sugar should be normal by the time I leave, which would be really great. Hopefully, I can keep it stable for a couple of weeks while I travel. Then, I’ll be very curious to see if I get that woosh effect when I start up again in November. It may take a while to lose many pounds and inches, but I think you’re right. When my body is ready, and that is the priority, I think it really will come off!!
Thank you for your continuous comments of support and encouragement!!
The blood glucose problem is my biggest worry, then the weight due to my knees are wearing out at an alarming rate (age 55). I’m going to see if I can afford that book. YAY!!
Hi Kitty,
I had great success with the Six Week Cure, as you have obviously read in my blog.
