Dr. Eades did a follow-up on IF where concluded, "It’s looking like the intermittent fast is another of those ideas in science that looks good in animal studies then not so good in human studies, proving once again that rats and mice aren’t simply furry little humans. And it appears – for humans, at least – that the intermittent fast is indeed beginning to look like the reality of a late-night gimmicky infomercial: long on promises, short on delivery."

Thanks for the information, Mary!! That's great to hear about magnesium. I'm working on finding a form I can take in higher doses without such a pronounced laxative effect...

I have been enjoying intermittent fasting for many years now. I believe that it will be 5 years in April. I prefer it alongside low carb. I eat to prepare for my next fast, not to end a fast. I always make sure that my meals are very low carb so that my glucose stays as stable as possible throughout the next day. Usually, my glucose stays below 100 but has gone as high as 130 since I began IF. But once I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes, I have become more diligent at watching what I eat and taking additional supplements. Ramona, I discovered that magnesium can help stable glucose levels. That is its job and low magnesium levels can contribute to insulin resistance even on a low carb lifestyle. My levels are almost better than normal now. I have a doctors appt this Friday and I will tell him about my success with magnesium.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment! I had always heard that I should either eat or fast... Discovering intermittent fasting was revolutionary for me!</em>

I have been eating this way before I even knew there was such a thing as intermittent fasting. I called it Sacrificial Diet.
I have been on this life style change for almost three years, and have been released from 100 lbs, and still counting. I feel better than ever, have more energy than ever and have been set free from the bondage that food had over me before. Let me tell ya,,i was an ADDICT before to food!!
